Bridging the political divide
Do you want to know who smokes (enjoys) pot?
Eeeeeeverybody.
Apparently.
But seriously. Age, race, political persuasion, religion, you name it. These folks not only utilize cannabis. They absolutely love it!
Community isn’t really an idea or a concept. It should really be a verb. Everyone should go out and do some “community“. We have become so distant and isolated. It seems as though very often the only few people we do come in contact with insulate us from a lot of what’s “outside“. Especially now working through a pandemic this variable has grown exponentially. It has been fertile ground to grow fear, hate and disconnection.
I know I’m not speaking solely for myself when I say that ever since July 1 I have had countless experiences, new friendships, beautiful conversations, deep laughs, creative moments, moments of inspiration, business ideas, and more! All because of the freedom that Virginia citizens had to engage in this new cannabis world. And without this change these moments beautiful, positive moments would never have happened.
I think, with a problem of great division should come a solution of great unification.
Can you see where I’m going with this?
The fact that people can legally use cannabis to chill out, feel better, relax, get better sleep, get creative, get talking, hang with your buddies, break bread with new neighbors has limitless positive potential.
I think that Virginia is very lucky to have received this legislative change in a desperate time of need. A time of coming together and yes probably smoking a joint with a friend or maybe even, while making a new one.
We all need to put some time and energy in practicing how to be better people with people. It is very obvious that we has lost track of this, especially over the past two years.
Time to right this train.
We need to relearn how to be better people WITH people. Sure we will stumble through PLENTY of awkward moments as we head toward this goal, but it’s a must.
We MUST become more curious and listen, we must be more silly friends and more empathetic neighbors, we must be better at kindness and respect.
Without diving too deep into horoscope galaxies and Tarot cards I think there is some incredible positive potential of unification that access to cannabis can provide. The first domino in perpetuating a great change and bright future for Virginia and its wonderful people.
Bring it on, you are the key.
